The Advisor: A Strategy Game to Overthrow the Dictator
The Advisor is a strategy game for Android developed by Mathias Wittig. In this game, you play as one of the closest advisors to a dictator who suppresses the population and is planning to invade a neighboring country. Your goal is to stop him by investing in the various provinces of your country to earn money and spend it on propaganda, recruiting new rebels for your revolution, and forming your own army to overthrow the dictator.
As an advisor to the dictator, you have to work for him while secretly plotting against him. Be careful with your advice and remain in his trust. He will seek your advice on political decisions, and you should avoid falling out of his favor. If you accept too many of his suggestions, your rebels might doubt that you actually plan a revolution, and they will kill you themselves. The game has a soundtrack by Andreas Blum and is available in English and German.
